Hartman Artist in Residence
Applications are now being accepted for the
2017 Hartman Artist-In-Residence Program
For individuals and ensembles in search of creative endeavors through inspiration from Hartman Reserve Nature Center’s landscape and wildlife. Professional or novice, artists of ALL disciplines are encouraged to apply!
Deadline is May 15, 2017
This program is active June 1 through September 30, 2017. Please note: Hartman buildings are currently closed for construction; there is no opportunity for a formal residency this year. Trails are still open.
Selected artist/ensemble receives $500 cash award, $100 gift card to University Book & Supply, and will be asked to present a program, performance, show, or activity at each of these two venues: the Waterloo Center for the Arts and at the Hearst Center for the Arts. Each of the two appearances should be unique and must be completed before September 30, 2017. Planning for the appearances may develop through the residency, depending on what artists desire to achieve through the program.
In return, artists are asked to donate a work of art inspired by the residency to Hartman Reserve.
