COME HIKE WITH US

​Halloween Hikes is a non-scary, app. 30-minute walk for families a candle-lit trail with short educational performances by costumed actors along the way. The actors portray different wildlife animals, plants and insects that follow a unique theme each year. After the walk, guest can enjoy other activities such as apple cidering and live animal exhibits, along with refreshments. ​Hike times start at 6:00 and leave every 15 minutes through the 7:30 hike.

Tickets for this annual fundraiser are $5.00 each for adults and children and are sold only in advance beginning the first business day of September. Children 2 and under can join the fun at no cost. ​Call Hartman at 319-277-2187 for will-call credit card purchases or stop by the Interpretive Center during business hours Monday through Friday 8 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m.- 5:00 p.m.
