SNOWSHOE RENTALS

SNOWSHOEING AT HARTMAN

We have both modern and traditional snowshoes available for rent. We have a variety of sizes (ages 5+). A minimum of 3" of snow is required before snowshoes can be used.

Day-Use at Hartman: $5/Pair
Off-Site Use: $5/Pair + Deposit + Copy of Driver's License
All-Weekend Rental: $10/Pair + Deposit + Copy of Driver's License

We require a $100 deposit per pair of snowshoe rental as indicated above. Upon return of snowshoes in same condition, your check and copy of driver's license will be returned to you or shredded.

*If you have more than 7 people OR are an organized group, you must call ahead during business hours to determine if there are enough snowshoes for your group. You may also schedule a private program with a naturalist.

We do not rent cross country skis. The following businesses/organizations do:
UNI Outdoors (Cedar Falls), Crawdaddy Outdoors (Waverly), Butler Co. Conservation (Clarksville), and Chickasaw Co. Conservation (Ionia).

Classic ski tracks are groomed (weather dependent) at Irv Warren Golf Course in Waterloo, Iowa. The South Riverside Bike Trail may also be groomed. For the most up-to-date ski track grooming information, please visit: www.iowaski.blogspot.com.
