For this Trail Rx Stop, you are invited to notice reflections on the lake. Maybe it's the trees. Maybe it's the clouds overhead reflecting in the water. Perhaps it's your reflection. What are you noticing? How do you feel?
Benefits:
Memory and attention span have been found to improve by twenty percent after one hour interacting in nature, and this benefit still occurs whether the subjects enjoy the experience (Berman, 2008). Walking one lap of the Highway to Health Trail takes about an hour (non-stop), so enjoy the cognitive boost even if the weather is less than ideal!
